Call of Lightning
15. Let's Go on an Adventure!
Kenan's footsteps felt stiff and shaky, but he forced himself to keep going. He imagined that everyone was laughing and mocking him to his right and left. In fact, he was only passing through the walls of his house.
Kenan closed his eyes. He remembered Aeera. The world needed a hero!
Yes, a hero!
Clack!
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Kenan convinced himself to keep walking until he reached the front door of his house. His mother was gone. For two years, Kenan hadn't left the house. He was isolated in his own thoughts. He didn't dare go out and had to bear the shame alone.
Now... Kenan had to be brave.
Outside the door, the courier was nervous. It seemed like no one was around. When the courier turned around...
Clack!
The door opened, and the courier was surprised to see a young man with unkempt hair come out.
"Excuse me, this is a package for Kenan Kalandra," the courier said, trying to smile.
“I…I’m Kenan Kalandra,” Kenan hesitated.
“Okay, Mr. Kenan. Here’s your package, and I’d like to take a quick picture of you for proof.”
The courier handed Kenan the rather large package, and Kenan trembled as he accepted it. The courier knew the young man looked very awkward. However, his job was simply to deliver the package. The courier took a picture of Kenan and the package. He then excused himself.
Before the courier could properly say goodbye, Kenan ran off and quickly closed the door. The courier was surprised, but then again, he was just a deliveryman. The order had arrived, and his job was done. He shrugged, simply praying that the young man was okay.
“Well, never mind!”
The courier began to walk away from the house. As he passed the gate, an elderly woman approached the house.
“What…what are you doing here?” Mrs. Ghina asked, surprised.
Oh, excuse me, Ma’am. I’m delivering a package, an order in the name of Kenan Kalandra.”
“A package? For Kenan?” Mrs. Ghina glared in surprise.
“Yes…for Kenan. He just received it.”
The courier didn't receive a response. Ghina immediately covered her mouth with both hands. She was in complete disbelief.
Kenan, he even received the package. Tears welled up in her eyes. Finally, her son was trying to come out of his room. This was the most beautiful achievement after two years of Kenan being locked in his room.
Oh, Kenan!
Ghina ran home and opened the door, forgetting that the courier had been left unattended.
The courier rolled his eyes. He shrugged again, "What a strange mother and son!"

Ghina was overjoyed, even though it was still only a small step forward. She couldn't contain her joy that her son had dared to come out of his room and open the outer door. He even met a courier and picked up the package.
What kind of package did Kenan actually order?
Ghina was worried and saw that her son's bedroom door was already tightly closed. She immediately checked the marketplace account that was their family account. And when she looked at it on her phone, Ghina couldn't contain her curiosity.
Things like this?
Why did Kenan order them? However, on the other hand, Ghina was relieved because the items Kenan had ordered were simple. Not dangerous.

Knock! Knock! Knock!
A knock sounded from inside Kenan's room. At that moment, Mrs. Ghina was setting food on the table, the table that was always placed next to Kenan's door.
"What's wrong, my son?" Ghina asked, her heart filled with joy. Her son was about to knock.
There was a moment of silence, five seconds, as Ghina waited to see what Kenan would do.
"Mom... Mom... bring me some snacks. I'll make something."
Ghina couldn't believe it. After such a long time, even too long, Kenan was speaking to her. Her tears couldn't be held back, and they just flowed.
"Yes... Yes, my son, I'll get them."
Ghina hurried to find some snacks and placed them on the table, near the food prepared for Kenan. She asked Kenan to eat them, and Ghina left.
From behind Kenan's bedroom door, he leaned his back against it. He slumped down and sat down. He cried, feeling a sense of helplessness fill him. He had been a strange human being all this time. However, feelings of anxiety, fear, and everything else mixed within him.
He cried, alone in that room.
Mother, forgive Kenan.

The prepared backpack.
There was an artifact crafted by Blacksmith Kai, an artifact Kenan had requested to be made specifically as a form of connection between two souls. It was a bracelet artifact made especially for Aeera and Kenan. The two would connect when their energies merged, and a call would be made.
Kenan put on the bracelet, a beautifully carved bracelet with three crystals surrounding it.
The backpack was already filled with all the prepared supplies. This time, Kenan had to prepare everything. A journey to find a powerful heirloom that could defeat the Demon King and the Monster King. This was the adventure Kenan had been waiting for, waiting for nothing more than the artifact bracelet to react.
Kenan couldn't wait, putting his bag next to him. He didn't want to leave any of his belongings behind. When the signal from the bracelet appeared, he would set off on his adventure with Aeera.
Come on, call me Aeera. I'm ready!
That was all Kenan could think about. He patiently waited. He ordered food from his mother, indicating he was busy with something. Then, his mother wouldn't worry about him.
I'll be a hero. Even if it wasn't in this world, going to a fantasy world and disappearing wouldn't be a problem for Kenan. I'll be a hero who will save the world.
Woooooosssh!
A light breeze suddenly entered Kenan's room. Kenan could feel a faint energy entering his room. Was this a sign of Aeera's calling?
Kenan learned to master divine mana by practicing his integration with nature. He was able to sense even the faintest energy around him. And, a faint energy began to surround the artifact bracelet.
And Kenan's eyes couldn't stop staring. The bracelet slowly came to life and lit up.
So... it was time.
Kenan picked up his backpack and put it on his back. He smiled, his eyes sparkling. It was time to go.
The bracelet's glow grew brighter, and a shimmering light began to appear from above, filling the entire room. And then, a powerful energy engulfed Kenan's body.
JEGLAAAARRRR!
Kenan didn't care now; he was used to it. He even smiled as the energy sucked his soul away.
Splash!
Woooooooooosshhhh!
"Come, Lord Kalandra!"
Splash!
Kenan floated in the air, as fast as lightning striking the earth. He hit the ground, and the energy began to slowly dissipate. Kenan was already standing, carrying his backpack.
"I'm coming, Aeera. We're going on an adventure right now."
Two people were also ready, carrying supplies. Aeera and Yuhas greeted Kenan.
They all smiled, the adventure about to begin.
"Lord Kalandra, we must first find the Golden Compass to show us the way," Yuhas said. "We're going to Tegret Forest, a hidden forest inhabited by the Elves."
"Let's go!" Kenan said.
