Call of Lightning
39. Trust Me, Everything Will Be Alright
A massive monster appeared on the surface, destroying everything, rocks flying. Cyton had demonstrated its ultimate power. Transforming into its strongest form. On the other side, the remaining beast dreamers were also using their ultimate powers. Ramau and Ruton were the only ones left, while the other four were dead. The three enormous monsters were like giants, obscuring the sky with their massive bodies.
"The monsters are ready to risk their lives!" shouted the Thunder Sword, now held by Kenan.
Kenan had already descended with his teammates. They saw the remaining monster army following their leader. Using their ultimate as a final blow, they were ready to fight to the death.
"Should we retreat first?" Regas asked, looking quite exhausted from the considerable energy expended in the previous battle.
The same thing happened to the rest of Aeera's team; they had been fighting for quite some time against the Demons and now the monster army.
Princess Kalya approached Aeera, "What should we do now, Aeera? We will follow your instructions. We have obtained the legendary sword, so retreating for now wouldn't be a bad decision."
Aeera looked at her other companions, and finally, she glanced at Kenan's back, who was standing in front of her.
"Lord Kalandra, what do you think about this? This battle will certainly result in heavy losses for us."
Kenan looked back, seeing his other companions already looking exhausted. However, Kenan also understood one thing. He didn't know how long he could remain in this world. His mission remained the same: protect Aeera and save this world. If he continued forward, his other companions might become victims.
One more thing, as a summoned creature due to the magic Aeera uses, a summoner seeking advice, or even the opinion of their summoned creature, was not commonplace in this world.
"Whatever your decision, Lord Kalandra, I, Aeera, will follow it. This has all been ordained by God, as you said, so you decide now!" Aeera spoke firmly. A teenager determined to follow Kenan's instructions.
A wizard who summons his summoned creature, entrusting the decision of life and death to his summoned creature.
Whoosh!
A strange wind suddenly blew, and Kenan could feel it. And, Kenan felt as if he were in a strange, unfamiliar place.
"Kenan!"
That voice...
The Lightning Sword floated in front of Aeera; it was the voice of a legendary sword.
"You..."
"Yes, I created a barrier that temporarily erased time. I have the ability to preserve time between gaps. I want to talk to you, and no one else should know about this."
"Uh... is there something important?" Kenan was confused.
"We won't be able to save all your comrades if we fight the monsters at full strength. You must decide wisely, if fighting means sacrificing them. Even if you can win."
"Then... what should we do?" Kenan asked.
"There's a lot I learned while I was imprisoned in the Earth's core. I know all the movements in this world, I know the immense power of the monsters and demons. I even know the power of the Demon King and the Monster King. They're not enemies you can defeat as easily as you defeated their armies before."
Kenan fell silent, meaning the Lightning Sword knew about Kenan's previous battles.
"Tell me everything... what I should do."
Kenan realized it was time to listen to what the Lightning Sword had to say. And Kenan listened intently. At that moment, he was truly shocked by some of the things the Sword said. It knew a lot: about summoning magic, how to break it, and even the choice between Kenan staying in this world or returning to his own. The Sword knew a lot.
Whoosh!
Kenan returned to the state he was in before being transported to another time by the Lightning Sword.

"Whatever your decision, Lord Kalandra, I, Aeera, will follow it. This has all been ordained by God, as you said, so you decide now!" Aeera said firmly. A teenager determined to follow Kenan's instructions.
Kenan realized, as if those words were repeating themselves. Aeera had said the same thing before Kenan left with the Lightning Sword.
Kenan moved his hand toward Aeera, as if to stroke her hair. Aeera was shocked, but a subtle energy enveloped her body.
"Forgive me, Aeera!"
What happened? Aeera couldn't move.
"Sera, guard Aeera and take her back to the kingdom. Please have the others protect Aeera and get out of here. Report to all the kings in Saranjana. Tell them that I will return soon and that we have the Lightning Sword!"
"What... what did you say?" Aeera couldn't say more, her energy shutting down.
"I will face all these monsters with the Lightning Sword. I can handle it myself, but you all need rest. So, everyone, please go back. Please."
The team behind Aeera understood that they would only be a distraction in this battle. Just like before, when Aeera was restrained by Cyton. Sera understood and held Aeera with her magic energy, summoning a creature. On the other hand, everyone understood and left.
Aeera was taken away, and the team used their respective energies to distance themselves from Kenan. From a distance, Aeera's eyes welled with tears, but she couldn't do anything. In fact, she couldn't use her magic at all. She only watched Kenan smile as Sera carried her away.
Kenan smiled and pointed his left thumb.
"Everything will be fine, Aeera!"
When Kenan was no longer in Aeera's sight, he turned and readied his sword.
"So... you want to die without your comrades seeing you, human? Don't worry, after we kill you, we will invade the entire human kingdom and kill them all! Ha... ha... ha...!"
Cyton's laughter echoed with the laughter of his followers. Kenan smiled.
"Are you ready for this epic battle, Kenan?" the Lightning Sword called out.
"Of course, we'll fight with great passion!"
Tap! Tap! Tap!
Kenan walked toward the army of giant monsters, but someone caught up with him. It was Princess Kalya.
"Hey, do you think I can't defeat them all, Princess? And why did you come back?" Kenan was surprised.
"I don't want to see you act like a hero. Do you think you can fight all the monsters all by yourself?"
"Ha... ha... ha... a perfect match!" The Lightning Sword's voice made Kenan and Princess Kalya's eyes narrow.
Strange weapons!
"So... save one for me, you can defeat the rest."
"You're not afraid of death?" Kenan asked Princess Kalya in surprise.
"You've awakened my mother from her long slumber. Seeing her smile just once has been a lifetime of joy. Even in death, I won't regret fighting alongside you as a way to repay her."
"Mother..." Kenan remembered his mother.
"Yes, mother is everything. When you see her smile, you see that the world is fine."
Kenan stopped as the monsters' attacks began to arrive. Princess Kalya walked ahead of Kenan, and Kenan remembered his mother. When mother smiles, the world is fine. So that's the meaning of everything about life. Mother is everything.
"You're right, Kalya!"
Kenan dashed past Princess Kalya, both smiling and facing the monsters.
"Kenan, it's time to unite our forces, as I said. You know the benefits and risks. However, our mission is the same: destroy all monsters and demons!"
"I know!"
Kenan drew his sword as he spoke to it. Kenan knew that his power would be immense when he merged with the power of the lightning sword. However, there were two risks: they would share their power, and they would also be emotionally connected. This is the power of fusion that unites all elements and connects their bodies and souls.
FUSION BREAK!
IRON SWORD MAN, Kenan remembered a movie about a man who became a robot called Ironbot, a wealthy man who lived as a robot-human.
Hmmm... that sounds cool! Kenan thought.
BOOM!
HIIIIAAAAA!
BRUSH!
