Legend of the Lightning Strike
50. Spear of Energy Filling the Sky
Woohoossshhhh!
The wind howled angrily and collided with each other, creating waves that seemed to blow here and there in no particular direction. Everyone's hair and the hem of their clothes were like ships tossed about in the ocean, tossed back and forth.
These waves of wind shocked many, as an extraordinary energy collided around them.
Barsha felt her tied hair swaying in the angry wind. This immense power was Gayatri gathering energy to attack Silvi's advisor?
This much energy, did it belong to Gayatri? How could such immense power belong to a woman, even younger than her? Barsha felt a little jealous. She had always trained diligently, always considered the strongest and most recognized woman on the Denad continent. This time, she too had to open her eyes to the vastness of the world. Gayatri was able to open her eyes even wider.
Silvi's grandmother was shocked by the collision and the seemingly erratic howl of the wind. This was immense power. Was this Gayatri's power? How could it be?
Advisor Silvi carefully observed Gayatri, who was still floating in the air. A thin energy swirled around Gayatri. Grandmother Silvi could see the thin energy swirling continuously.
Gayatri gathered energy from nature, feeling as if she had become one with it. So she concentrated on forming an energy weapon to attack Advisor Silvi again. Slowly, tiny pieces of energy, the size of coins, began to merge with other tiny pieces of energy.
Threads of energy were created from each energy particle. The vast amount of energy gathered everywhere formed a weapon. Slowly and surely, it was still unclear what kind of energy weapon Gayatri would form.
It seemed to be getting denser, sparks of energy entering and merging with other energy. It was an energy spear like before. It was starting to become clearly visible, and it wasn't just five like at the beginning. There were thousands of them, filling the sky, the sky filled with energy.
Impossible!
Lao himself couldn't close his eyes for even a moment. He remembered that his sister, Gayatri, had indeed been the quickest to absorb the lessons taught by Master Jinho. She was always one step ahead of him.
In fact, Lao had to use a real artifact weapon, the two discs on his back, to form the discs' energy and connect them. Gayatri didn't need any weapon to form the weapons she imagined. And that was true ever since they began training together.
Every day, Lao felt that his sister was special. Despite this, Gayatri always treated her sister as a real sister should. Often, Lao didn't understand the explanations from his teacher, Jinho. So, Gayatri taught him in more detail and gave him analogies so that her sister could more quickly grasp the power of her elemental support magic.
Gayatri was a genius, able to quickly absorb every magical lesson from her teacher. Lao felt proud of his sister. However, considering her current progress, how could this be possible? Lao still couldn't fully believe it. How could his sister have surpassed him so much? She was able to form energy spears so large and countless in number.
Thousands, perhaps.
All the energy spears Gayatri formed grew denser, the threads between each spear becoming tightly intertwined. Gayatri was able to stabilize the power of each energy spear and not lose concentration on any one.
Lao recalled that his and Gayatri's training was extremely demanding. For example, when they were able to create one energy weapon, they were asked to create another. They were both formed, but they were not allowed to lose concentration on the other. If their concentration broke, one of the energy weapons would disintegrate and disappear like dust.
If that happened, the energy they had expended would be wasted, a weakness for elemental supports. Even with three weapons, Lao and Gayatri struggled to stabilize and maintain concentration on any number of energy weapons they created.
The threads of energy formed. The connection between one energy weapon and another was a result of their concentration. Their hands were the axis that controlled all the weapons' movements. However, their minds and concentration were paramount to maintaining focus on all the energy weapons they had created.
This time, Lao couldn't imagine how his sister could maintain her concentration while guarding the energy spears that filled the sky. Furthermore, this was the first time that Lao had seen the energy spears formed by Gayatri. When had Gayatri begun practicing forming energy spears? Lao had never known.
Each energy spear that had formed and filled the sky vibrated, all connected by energy threads. Gayatri was completely focused. She felt the powerful natural energy fused with her. She didn't want to overdo it, as that would be dangerous. Her body couldn't handle too much energy.
Gayatri had absorbed enough natural energy and now focused on maintaining all the energy spears that had been created. She smiled, filled with joy at the sight of so many energy spears being created.
How beautiful! That was Gayatri's feeling, beyond description. She couldn't believe it, seeing her abilities grow so much. Even though she knew that the eight-circle point in her body had been opened with the legendary, famous pill, the Circle Sealing Pill.
Even so, Gayatri was confident that one day she would practice and train hard. She wanted to be able to control her internal power well and be at one with nature without using pills or anything else. She was confident that with her own abilities, she would definitely reach the peak of her powers.
Grandma Silvi was shocked to see this. Was this the power of a girl in her 20s? How could such great power be possible for a woman so young? Was this normal?
If this were Gayatri's power, then the great pride of the Frost Line continent would be fulfilled with the birth of a long-awaited female warrior. The Frost Line would be proud to have Gayatri—no! The entire continent and all martial arts schools would be proud.
Advisor Silvi smiled, proud to see Gayatri's abilities. Jinho himself, Gayatri's teacher, was an old friend of Grandma Silvi's. Jinho had no regrets about having a student like her. Advisor Silvi was so happy that she wanted to spar with all her might. She, who had always been curious about the abilities of warriors and often sparred, felt that this time she had found a unique joy.
The joy of sparring with a strong opponent was a supreme pleasure for Grandma Silvi. This would be a lifelong story for Grandma Silvi, something she could share with anyone throughout her life.
If Gayatri were to become a great warrior someday, history would record this day. Grandma Silvi had faced her on the day the Heavenly Troops were officially announced. History would record the battle between Advisor Silvi and a new member of the Heavenly Troops as epic.
Grandma Silvi was so happy, so happy that she was ready to unleash her full power. She was ready to confront Gayatri's power with everything she had.
This was a beautiful battle. That was what Advisor Silvi was thinking now.
