Legend of the Lightning Strike
61. Disciple of the Three Legends?
Aji smiled as the attack came, blocking the speed and power of Jiro's energy punch. Jiro's fighter saw Aji's courage in facing him head-on, head-on. A blow for a blow—that was the way a warrior fought.
Both men smiled, the way of a warrior already in their grasp. The clash of energy from the two powerful blows shook the Dompai room, causing the weapons on the weapon rack to vibrate violently.
As the explosive impact of the two blows occurred, the room shook and weapons scattered, creating a complete mess. They were both restrained by the energy, still bearing down on each other from the impact of their blows.
They pushed against each other with their strength; even Jiro's fighter's body felt quite shaken. How could a young man, perhaps only 20 years old, possess such strength that he could match him so well? Not only did he match him, but his magical power and movement speed were arguably even superior to his.
After a while, Jiro felt his body trembling; he had already opened his seventh circle. He blended with nature and absorbed its energy, but it still felt like he was hitting a rock-solid wall. What was wrong with the young man's power before him? Was he a monster? Their power continued to explode, shaking their surroundings.
Jiro tried his luck again, absorbing the vast energy around him and combining it with the energy from within his body. Internal and external combined, this was a powerful force that could create a massive explosion.
Jiro wasn't too worried about the effects, as Dompai had been further strengthened with high-level artifacts and high-level arrays after the events of the third test.
Jiro's warrior retreated and leaped, gathering natural energy and his internal energy. The energy blast, like a swirling wind, surrounded Jiro's body. The power was terrifying, and the wind exploded furiously around him.
Aji sensed the immense power Jiro was about to unleash. He prepared his strength, concentrating on the energy in his right hand. Gathering it with concentration, he launched himself back to block Jiro's warrior's blow.
Duaaaarrrrr! Boooooooommmmm!
Energy ripples rippled throughout Dompai, rumbling like thunder. The power of the array and magical artifacts vibrated within it. The guards outside Dompai were shocked; even the Dompai leader could feel it. It was a powerful training, they believed.
Fortunately, the Heavenly Troop member named Aji had received special and powerful training within Dompai. They all assumed that Jiro's strength was indeed extraordinary, capable of shaking Dompai.
Inside Dompai itself, Jiro's warrior held back the young man's power, Aji. He unleashed all his energy, adding to the natural energy that continued to permeate him. But still, he felt as if he were colliding with an impenetrable fortress.
"HIIIAAAAAA!" This time, Jiro's warrior screamed and seemed to be pushed back. In front of him, Aji seemed to be concentrating his energy again in his right hand. He still had that much power? Jiro's warrior tried to block it. And...
Boom!
Who knows what happened as he tried to withstand the young man's even greater energy attack? Jiro's body felt like it had been electrocuted, unable to maintain its energy balance. He was thrown back by Aji's attack, which penetrated his defense. He was thrown quite far and slammed into the Dompai wall.
Bang!
Jiro's energy was shattered. He still enveloped his body in energy, but he was exhausted and fell to the ground. He fell to his knees, not seriously injured, just exhausted and drained of energy.
Far ahead, Aji descended to the floor calmly. His energy remained stable, and he began to approach Jiro calmly. Jiro admitted defeat, completely shocked that a young man, whose identity he had never known before, had defeated him so quickly.
He was a monster!
Jiro's warrior enveloped himself in natural energy to regain his strength. Aji approached him and sat facing Jiro.
"I never expected there to be such a powerful young man in the martial arts world, Aji. I admit defeat," Jiro said sincerely.
Aji smiled, "You are also very strong, warrior Jiro. The martial arts world must be proud to have a hero like you."
The young man's praise was truly reassuring, very wise, even for a young man. Normally, an inexperienced person would be arrogant about their great abilities. The figure before him certainly understood human character and nature, and possessed extraordinary experience.
Warrior Jiro was a warrior who graciously accepted defeat. In fact, he would seek enlightenment from any warrior he considered to possess extraordinary abilities.
"If I may ask, are your teachers among the legends?" asked Warrior Jiro, referring to the legends. They were Ganada, Yonan, and the Lightning Striker. Jiro sensed a great power within the young man; it was possible that one or all three of them had truly taken him on as a disciple.
Warrior Jiro remembered that he had once been Ganada's student, having learned the Ghost Speed ability up to level 8. Warrior Jiro learned that Aji had used Ghost Speed during their initial fight. So, Jiro thought he might have learned it from Ganada.
Or did Aji have another teacher that the warrior Jiro didn't know about?
"I did receive instruction from them, both Yonan and Ganada. Regarding warrior abilities..." Aji's sentence was cut off because the warrior Jiro immediately retorted before he could finish.
"I already suspected that, so is the young warrior a disciple of the three legends? I'm sure of it. I'm sure they're preparing a warrior to continue their fight. Their battle 20 years ago didn't leave them easily killed."
The warrior Jiro was enthusiastic, thinking that after the great war, the three legends were still alive, preparing and training a young man. This was because no bodies were found from that great war.
Only the bodies of the Demon Lord's dark forces. There were thousands, countless. It was a very fierce and massive battle.
"Unfortunately, warrior Jiro was wrong. You won't be able to see them again. They have passed away peacefully. They trust the next generation to finish the battle with the Demon Lord, Shura."
Even warrior Jiro was shocked that the young man knew the Demon Lord's true name. Not everyone knew about this secret rumor. The young man was very mysterious. Was he someone commissioned by the three legends?
Warrior Jiro now realized. Perhaps Aji was the disciple of the three legends, or perhaps he was a being created from the powers of the three legends, to carry on their great mission of saving the world?
Could such a thing really exist? Creating a being who possessed the powers of the three legends within the body of a young man? Warrior Jiro's analysis truly intrigued him.
