Naura's Tears

36. Unsullied Love

Everything went as usual. Adam worked hard to develop Danau Kenanga into a Green Design-based industrial hub, and Syarif worked diligently in his hardware store.

The two still saw each other frequently.

Syarif became increasingly enthusiastic about working in his hardware store. Sometimes, after work or during the day, he would make time to visit the Spring of Heaven project to meet Adam and talk, just like old times.

Now, Syarif was expecting his first child. He now accompanied his wife to Spring of Heaven occasionally to admire the scenery and beauty. This naturally calmed his wife's mind and, in turn, helped her unborn child.

He still considered Adam his best friend, no matter what. The business, which now supported him and his family financially and even helped others, was a great gift from Adam to him. He maintained his business with integrity, and to this day, many people trusted him and became his customers because Syarif conducted his business with integrity and without deception.

Customers also really enjoyed shopping at the hardware store he managed, where good, high-quality items were clearly described, allowing them to make informed choices that fit their budget.

For Syarif, Adam was both a friend and a teacher. Although they used to study the Koran together at the Islamic boarding school, Syarif admitted he was often lazy about memorizing the text, and Adam was a diligent reader and learner.

"When are you going to get married, Adam?" Syarif sat down next to Adam again, enjoying the breeze. "Have you still not forgotten Naura? Or are you even unsure if you'll be happy in marriage?"

Syarif himself was very curious about Adam's reasons for not getting married yet. In fact, Diandra was a wise and beautiful woman, and she possessed an extraordinary amount of wealth. Adam smiled and looked at his friend, "I don't know, Syarif. You understand me well. If I didn't have stability, I wouldn't have taken any steps, right? Even now, at my age, I doubt my own stability. But also, you're not wrong about Naura. It's hard for me to let her go, even though I can be strong now and have to accept reality.

However, it's as if I were created solely for Naura, Syarif. Even though I can't possess her physically, I feel like I possess her soul."

Syarif was speechless. The level of love Adam felt was truly a love of a very different level than that of most people. In fact, for the love he felt.

It was pure and untainted love. It held no grudges even when betrayed, and no hatred even when hurt. What level of love was Adam's? Syarif didn't understand.

It was even like God's love for His servants. When His servants sinned and disobeyed Him, His God didn't hate them or punish them in this world. "You're the Adam I know. You won't move unless you're sure, and you won't follow anything unless you have a firm conviction. But I'm sure you'll get through this well and choose the right woman.

Of course, that's after you reflect. You'll find you need a life partner who can share your story. You'll definitely need one when the time is right."

Adam looked at Syarif. His explanation had resonated with him. Perhaps because he wasn't yet in the phase where he needed a wife, he hadn't considered marriage yet.

"Okay, my friend, I'll think carefully about your suggestion."

They both smiled.

Adam entered the beautifully designed office, connected to nature yet futuristic. In the work and meeting rooms, there were beautifully arranged aquariums. Furthermore, some plants could grow indoors, adding to the coolness of the room.

Adam greeted several employees who smiled at him. The sound of Quran recitation alternating with prayers was also heard, encouraging a blessed morning and a readiness to work faithfully. Specifically for the head office or central base camp, this is used to monitor every business unit in Mata Air Surga.

Adam conducted a briefing, gathering the managers of each of the various locations within the center. Adam began the meeting by inviting the employees to offer suggestions for the advancement of Spring of Heaven.

Some of them, accustomed to Adam's work style, took turns offering ideas and suggestions for progress and any issues they encountered in carrying out their daily duties. Meetings were held once a week on Fridays.

These included water bombs, language parks, restaurants, playgrounds, prayer rooms at mosques, hotels, residential properties, and even recreational lakeside retreats, among other businesses. A donation was also held every Friday. All provided an overview of how each location was managed.

From there, Adam was able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each ongoing business.

However, one issue that suddenly piqued Adam's interest was the number of people who had fallen ill while on vacation. They were either suffering from underlying illnesses or minor ailments. They had difficulty finding hospitals because they were located far from the city, while those in rural areas had difficulty reaching them. Adam had just come up with an idea: since there were still many empty plots of land, a clinic could be built with a business permit. Even if it were a simple clinic, at least if it could attract a doctor there, it would be of great benefit to those who came here and also to the villagers who wanted closer medical care.

Brilliant idea!

"Coworkers," Adam said. He considered them all a team or colleagues. So, there were no superiors or subordinates. Everyone worked with high productivity and creativity, and they could explore anything that could advance Air Mata Surga.

Everyone agreed that once the clinic was ready to be built, the profits from each business could be used for the initial development. This was certainly a great way to complete all the various aspects that Air Mata Surga wanted to manage.

However, the problem wasn't that simple. The clinic's business permit had to be completed, and the costs would inevitably skyrocket. Adam felt uncomfortable talking to Diandra again; Diandra's family had already invested quite a bit in them.

At the very least, the idea was excellent, and Adam kept it to himself. While moving on to other discussions, who knew if a new investor would be willing to fund the clinic project? But of course, they weren't solely hoping for a substantial profit, but rather, their primary intention was to benefit many people.

As a result, the clinic was still planned for the strategic plan, or future work plan. Although the timing was postponed to secure funding.

Adam dismissed the simple, routine meeting and concluded by leading a prayer that their efforts to advance the Spring of Heaven would be a blessing and beneficial for everyone. Adam's colleagues all agreed.

All plans must be well-planned. Let God determine everything; humans can only plan and strive. Dreams are dreams, and Adam still wanted to turn Kenanga Lake into the Lake of Love.

A lake that could bring peace to anyone's heart. Adam felt his heart was already connected to that place.
