Naura's Tears
38. Diandra's Feelings
There would be no Heaven Spring without Diandra. Diandra had become a part of Heaven Spring. She always came every Friday through Sunday. She felt at peace, being able to vacation and enjoy the natural beauty there.
However, if she were honest, the only man who truly filled her soul was Adam. Although many of her father's colleagues' children, rich and handsome, even seemed to have everything, they tried to approach and propose to Diandra, but Diandra rejected them all.
One of her father's business associates' children, who always approached her, was Rendra. He fell in love with Diandra when he met her at a party. At that time, Diandra was with her father and mother.
Rendra approached Mr. Hamid's family and introduced himself. Mr. Hamid then recognized Rendra as the new leader of Indomakmur Semesta Tbk. Rendra's parents had handed over the company to their son due to illness.
Rendra immediately fell in love with Diandra at first sight. He had heard that many men had proposed to Diandra, but many had been rejected.
Rendra also learned that Diandra had previously suffered from an illness and had now recovered. Her beauty was truly extraordinary, like an angel descended from heaven. Mr. Hamid introduced his wife and daughter.
Rendra tried to strike up a friendly conversation with Mr. Hamid and asked for a future partnership. Mr. Hamid welcomed the invitation, hoping a business partnership might be possible.
Diandra clung to her mother, not liking the crowds of the party. Her mother seemed engrossed in conversation with the other women. Diandra moved to the edge of the room and looked out at the night view, where the few stars were visible.
It was beautiful, with the stars and the crescent moon visible.
"All alone, Miss," a man startled Diandra. It was Rendra who had introduced herself to her father earlier.
Diandra smiled, "Yes, it's too noisy out there." Diandra turned her head slightly toward the crowd.
"You are very beautiful, Miss Diandra," Rendra said, trying to flatter her.
Diandra smiled slightly and didn't respond much. She had already realized that people were only attracted to beautiful faces; back when she was sick, no one approached her. "Thank you for the compliment. Don't you have any friends, so you're alone here too?" Diandra asked back.
"Not really. I came here to see you, and hopefully we can become friends in the future. If there's anything we need, we can stay in touch, right?"
"Yes, no problem."
"Do you have time this week? We could meet and have a meal together?"
"I'm sorry, Mr. Rendra. I seem to be busy lately. I must take my leave. My mother is calling me."
Diandra excused herself and left Rendra. From a distance, Rendra began to notice Diandra from behind. He was already captivated by her beauty. He would try to pursue her.
Diandra herself had a hard time discerning who was sincere to her. If it were just beauty, it would fade with time. However, for those who love someone with their heart, things would be different.
In the past, when she was disabled, no one came to see her or compliment her. Except for her family, Diandra saw sincerity in most people as wealth and beauty. And, Diandra didn't want to marry solely for worldly reasons like physical appearance and wealth.
She wanted to enjoy life, a lifetime with someone sincere to her.
Saturday arrived, and Diandra returned to the Heaven's Spring project. Meeting Adam gave her renewed energy, as if she'd seen a beautiful ocean and felt at home there.
Although Diandra knew she was very comfortable and wanted to be close to Adam, it seemed Adam still couldn't accept her. And, with that, Diandra felt challenged to learn everything about Adam and, if possible, win his heart for her.
Diandra also knew that deep down, Adam still held onto his love and memories for Naura. However, Adam never said it, but from his seemingly uninterested attitude toward any woman, it was clear that he still harbored those feelings deeply.
It seemed as if Adam didn't care that Naura was already someone else's wife and belonged to someone else. He also seemed unaware that Naura was already in a polygamous relationship with her husband. Let Adam explore his own feelings; perhaps that was what he needed. However, Diandra saw Adam as a typical hard worker. He even made many breakthroughs, and the Heaven's Spring project is now renowned throughout the region.
Many visitors come to see the center of Heaven's Spring, making it a vacation destination and a place to admire the beauty of Kenanga Lake.
The government also supports the development of Heaven's Spring as a tourist destination and a language learning village for those seeking foreign language skills.
The government built roads around Heaven's Spring and constructed footpaths in the surrounding villages. These roads are also well-maintained, leading to Heaven's Spring from various directions, making it easy for those from far away to find Heaven's Spring and enjoy their vacations.
The media quickly and extensively covered the area, and the local government promoted it, especially since the Governor always showed his support and frequently vacationed there with his family. It was then that the Spring of Heaven truly transformed the place into a paradise.
As development progressed, building material projects were also ordered from the building materials shop managed by Syarif. The shop skyrocketed into a super-large business with assets now reaching tens of billions.
Adam himself had become a new billionaire, yet he remained humble and unassuming. He began to become well-known and became a center of inquiry, possessing a wealth of wisdom.
Adam also always gathered underprivileged people to involve them in his endeavors, wanting to make life easier for more people. Adam's planned clinic became a large hospital, clearing five hectares of land specifically for the hospital.
Adam moved his house near the Spring of Heaven. His mother, Halimah, initially disapproved, but Adam wanted her to be able to see the crowds and children playing. The old house would not be demolished or sold; it would be left alone but maintained. His mother was allowed to return once a week to see the house and stay overnight. If she missed it, she could even return anytime.
Halimah agreed, and Adam built a simple house. However, Diandra refused. She had built it with the profits from the already large Heaven Spring, and Diandra had also designed the construction.
However, Adam also requested that the house be modest, just simple. Diandra built the house for 1.5 billion rupiah. Adam protested, but Diandra persuaded him to set an example. If the house was good enough, his business would thrive.
Adam complied, but he eventually made the house available, partly for children to study the Koran, and even included a guest room where anyone who wanted to stay overnight, including the underprivileged and displaced, could stay until they could afford to own their own home or rent a house.
Adam's door was always open to anyone.
