Call of Lightning
47. Final Battle (Chapter Two)
"Grow! Sultan!" Kenan remembered the movie Sultan, a children's movie that often featured swimsuits adorned with accessories for the hero who saved the earth from monsters.
Sure enough! Kenan grew larger. Now, he was on par with the two kings united against him.
Helios aimed his sword, and Kenan blocked it with his sword.
Clang!
Horus attacked with a spear from behind Kenan, but Kenan blocked the attack with his hand. Kenan was thrown back and rolled.
The rumbling sound of the ground shaking.
Horus and Helios combined their strength and blasted a powerful energy beam at Kenan. Kenan channeled the energy into his sword. As the two giants' attacks bore down on Kenan, Kenan used his sword to block the attack.
WOOOONNNGG!
BOOOOMMM!
A massive explosion erupted. Horus and Helios thought they had won, but Kenan quickly dodged the attack. A flash of lightning moved, and Kenan was behind the two giants.
"Enough messing around, I don't have time. Goodbye, King of Monsters and King of Demons. Time for you to rest."
No way!
Horus and Helios looked back, and at that moment, Kenan unleashed a powerful sword energy. The ultimate attack, full of energy, struck the King of Monsters and King of Swords, splitting them apart and destroying them with a massive explosion. The explosion of Horus and Helios' destruction left the remaining monster and demon armies speechless.
They were defeated!
The human army, excited by the destruction of Horus and Helios, charged towards the remaining monster and demon armies.
Kenan looked at the remaining enemy forces. He used the energy in his armor, recalling the movie Sarobot. The human, united with his robot, Kena,n aimed at all the remaining enemy troops. And, energy bullets from his armor shot out, destroying all the remaining monsters.
BOOM!
Kenan shrank back, his armor cracking, and the lightning sword he held slowly disintegrated. The lightning sword slowly faded, shattering and disappearing in the breeze. Kenan knew the sword's mission was to defeat the monster king and the sword king. Once its mission was complete, the sword would disappear.
Kenan floated in the air, everyone watching with pride. They couldn't believe their nation could be free from the yoke of monsters and demons. They wept with joy, and some cheered.
Kenan descended and approached Aeera, Princess Kalya, and all the other surviving troops. As Kenan neared the ground, his energy began to dwindle. Kenan realized something; his hands were fading, and the energy in his body slowly dissipated.
"Aeera, your world is free. I have fulfilled my promise to defeat the demon king and the monster king. It's time for me to return. Live well, Aeera."
"Lord Kalandra! You are my friend, the only person who believes in me. I never thought of you as a summoned creature; you are my older brother."
"I know, Aeera..." Kenan's body began to dissolve one by one. "From now on, I will live in my world, and you will surely become a great wizard."
Kenan's hands began to dissolve.
"O King Alex, take good care of your daughter. And... everyone here, I crown Aeera! As the strongest sorceress for summoning the strongest summoning creature that can destroy the monster king and the demon king. She is the strongest sorceress in this world!"
"That's right!"
"Aeera is the true hero!"
"Aeera, the strongest sorceress!"
Those voices brought tears to Aeera's eyes, and Kenan smiled.
"It's time to say goodbye, Aeera. Take care of yourself."
"Lord Kalandra...!" Aeera ran and hugged Kenan's nearly gone body. As Aeera's embrace reached him, Kenan's body vanished.
SYUUUUTTTTT!
Can I go back? Or will I perish here? Ah! Never mind. I'm satisfied now, thank you, Aeera. Will... I still be able to see my mother? Please, God, at least let me see her smile one more time.

“Hey! Wake up! You were sleeping here! I want to clean this place!” a middle-aged man's voice patted the shoulder of the man sleeping on the park bench.
The man slowly opened his eyes, the sun still blazing overhead. The young man ignored the man holding the broom, standing and looking at the afternoon sun in the west.
“Ma... excuse me, sir, is this still the world? Are there monsters around here?”
The man holding the broom was puzzled and frowned.
“Did you just get hit and lose your memory? There's always something wrong.”
Kenan walked away from the man, moving his head. He looked at the end of the path at the edge of the park. The Barbershop.
It would be nice to get a haircut. Kenan looked at several other places. He realized something... I'm back. The only one I need to see now is... Mom.
