Legend of the Lightning Strike
56. Continue the Struggle of the Ganada Legend
For some reason, most of the members of the Heavenly Troops voted for Aji Bagaskara. Aji saw this and felt they were afraid of his power.
The votes, from highest to lowest, were: Aji received 11 votes, Barsha received 5, Alicia received 3, Astro received 1, and Nagada received 1.
Seeing the results, they were all unsure who had chosen Aji as their leader. Barsha plucked up the courage to say that if that were the case, then Aji could be elected leader of the Heavenly Troops, and was there anyone who disagreed?
Everyone fell silent, and no one protested.
"Aji, what do you think? This is all for the good of the Heavenly Troops; you must give your opinion," Barsha stood up, asking Aji to share his opinion. Barsha sat back down.
Aji felt he had to explain something to his comrades. He stood up. "I thank all my colleagues who voted for me. However, I chose Barsha to be our leader."
Everyone was shocked to hear this. All eyes were in disbelief. Aji, who had received the most votes, made the unexpected remark, stating that he had appointed Barsha.
"I hope you understand," Aji explained his opinion. "Barsha will have a bright future with the Sky Troops. I see good leadership in her. I, myself, will always support her."
Barsha glared at Aji, "What are you doing, Aji? Why are you throwing such a heavy task at me? I'm a difficult person to manage. How can I manage the Sky Troops, whose achievements are expected of everyone?"
Aji glanced at everyone and then looked at Barsha. "In fact, the most unruly person is the one who will be able to manage others well. She has learned how to manage unruly people, so she will find a way to get others to work well together."
Aji's thoughts were strange, but they were also valid.
"If you all agree, Barsha will become the leader of the Celestial Army, and I will support her by becoming her vice-leader. I will remind Barsha if anything goes wrong with her decision."
Everyone agreed, including Alicia.
"Aji is right, Barsha will be able to be our leader," Alicia added.
Arian and Astro also agreed.
Nagada stood up and agreed with Aji, "I support Aji's opinion, and I hope Barsha will be a leader who will strengthen the Celestial Army."
There were no other opinions, although Barsha was about to object. However, everyone expressed their agreement and pledged their loyalty to Barsha. They would follow her as long as she decided to make the Celestial Army the upholders of justice.
Barsha couldn't refuse any longer. Moreover, Aji was also willing to be her deputy. The decree was drafted by Gayatri, who was tasked with correspondence and the enforcement of regulations.
The next issue was the leadership and responsibilities of each continent. Barsha explained that it would be best to appoint someone from each continent to carry out duties on that continent as the person of responsibility.
Everyone agreed with Barsha's proposal. It was decided that Nagada would be responsible for the Celestial Army on the continent of Orpris. Lao was assigned to be in charge of the Frost Line continent, while Arion was in charge of the Phosphite continent. The Emerald Continent was entrusted to Domar, and the Denad Continent to Aria.
Complete, they were the ones who would fill and be responsible for their respective territories. The five of them would always consult with the main leaders, Barsha and Aji.
The decision had been made. Everyone agreed. They arrived to rest. Tomorrow, they would meet someone who had come, specifically assigned by Dasatama to train them in martial arts.
Someone appointed directly by Dasatama was definitely no joke. They were eager to receive special training to increase their strength.
Barsha dismissed them, and they returned to their respective rooms. The Heavenly Troops' residence was vast, with each member having their own private home.
They all returned, except Aji and Barsha. Barsha, still curious, finally mustered the courage to ask Aji about his decision to resign. And, to make Barsha the leader of the Heavenly Troops.
Aji remained calm as usual.
"I know you're capable, Barsha," Aji gave an answer that wasn't entirely satisfactory to Barsha.
"What makes you believe that?" Barsha's short, shoulder-length hair swayed slightly in the breeze outside the Heavenly Troops meeting room.
"You know, Ganada once successfully led warriors to confront a special unit of the dark forces. In a short time, he was able to defeat the dark forces with only a small number of warriors at the time."
Barsha was shocked by this explanation. Her grandfather, Ganada, had a history of holding off an attack by thousands with a small alliance of warriors. Everyone was amazed by his succinct leadership, even though they were warriors gathered by force from every continent. At that time, each continent only sent a few warriors due to mutual distrust.
At that time, Ganada was able to coordinate all the warriors well, even though they had only just met.
It is recorded in history that the dark forces, led by one of the Five Gates, were repelled even though they were targeting the Frost Line continent, which was the weakest continent of all.
A fairly intense battle ensued, and the dark forces retreated, earning Ganada the reputation of a formidable war leader.
However, at that time, Barsha hadn't yet been born. So, how did Aji know about this and use it as a benchmark for choosing him as the leader of the Heavenly Army?
"Do you often read history or hear certain stories that make you seem so knowledgeable, Aji?" Barsha was curious. Undeniably, Aji's charm was strong, and his indifferent, even-keeled nature was a figure that could captivate any woman.
"History is told from generation to generation; we just need to listen carefully, right?"
Aji explained as he left, "I'm tired. We'll meet again tomorrow for our first training session as the Heavenly Troops. I hope you'll set an example for the other members and prepare well."
"Wait, Aji. Do you think I'll be able to lead the Heavenly Troops well?"
Aji stopped in his tracks and turned to Barsha again. "You certainly can. It's all because the Ganada skill runs in your blood. I know you have the sense of responsibility and strength to unite the martial arts world. Remember, you are the grandson of a legend who sacrificed his life to uphold justice across this continent. You must carry on his noble ideals."
Aji left, and Barsha trembled as he listened to his explanation.
