Legend of the Lightning Strike

13. Condensing Internal Energy

Aji's right fist seemed to strike the Array shield of the steel box.

SWIINNNGG!

Like a loud whistling wind, the clash of energies was deafening.

Aji's punch was held back for a moment. Everyone who had initially underestimated Aji now suddenly watched the spectacle with their hearts pounding. Like two opposing forces, Aji remained expressionless. His punch, wielding thin energy, was still blocked by the Array, which also displayed its energy.

The energies were mutually repelling.

The winds continued to collide. However, Aji's fist, wielding thin energy, advanced little by little. One centimeter, two centimeters, three centimeters. Everyone watched slowly, and Aji continued to push the steel box even though the Array's energy shield was still blocking his blow.

Yarko was momentarily stunned. He felt the young man was incredibly persistent. How could it not be, Yarko thought, for such a thin force with such energy to continue forcing itself to scratch the steel box.

Just look, the steel box shifted slightly. This meant the man's strength was beyond his internal energy capabilities. The young man seemed determined to maintain his strength, attempting to scratch the steel.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, he was exhausted and unable to penetrate the level 8 Array created by Gonan.

Everyone watching felt the same way, feeling pity for the young man. Barsha, especially, felt that the young man's extraordinary will and physical strength were enough to move the steel box without being able to penetrate the Array's defenses.

One second, two seconds, ten seconds passed. As the leader, Yarko, approached Aji and warned him to stop, as his energy would be drained. Yarko, trying to make him understand the futility of his efforts, gradually shifted the steel box.

Just as he was about to take his first step, Yarko was shocked and immediately retreated to strengthen his defenses.

Suddenly, from Aji's fist, which was colliding with the Array protecting the box, a burst of energy seemed about to explode.

BOOM!

Sure enough, a massive energy explosion occurred as Aji, with all his might, slammed the Array and the steel box into the air with a powerful thud and pushed it hard with his fist.

Daak! Daak! Daak!

All eyes were glued to the steel box, shocked beyond belief, and their gazes focused. The steel box was sent flying dozens of meters forward, accompanied by a powerful energy blast.

The massive box rolled several times, seemingly dragged by Aji's blow. The stage floor was even scratched and damaged by the intense friction, as the box was hurled about 10 meters.

The stage floor was damaged in the same direction as the two-meter-tall steel box.

Chairman Yarko was still stunned, in disbelief. How could such sheer strength and so little internal energy have been able to blow away a steel box covered in a level 8 Array?

Yarko immediately regained consciousness and walked quickly, lightening his body and leaping closer to the steel box. Yarko waved his right hand, and the steel box rolled forward, off the edge of the stage.

Yarko's strength was strong enough to push the steel box away. He was able to dispel the Array because he already possessed the Array's control device, so the Array did not affect him.

Yarko examined the wall of the steel box and was stunned to see that Aji's punch had actually formed a scratch, resembling a hand strike. How could the young man break through the array and even throw the steel box so far?

That thin energy? Was it energy density?

Yarko himself understood that some energy controllers could create an overflowing energy simply by condensing it and enveloping a weapon, or a warrior's hands or feet.

That subtle energy is a condensed form of energy, meaning it has become part of a person's being, allowing them to manipulate it.

However, only those who have trained for decades and reached a high level of mastery, having become one with their energy, can achieve this feat.

Yarko shook his head. How could such a young man possibly condense energy? Yarko dismissed this notion, seeing Aji's innocent face, despite his sharp eyes.

Yarko approached Aji, "Participant Aji Bagaskara... Passed!"

Everyone seemed in disbelief. That subtle energy could damage a steel box and even penetrate an array with just a push, even without a weapon? What was that? Many warriors wondered and were in disbelief.

Aji stepped off the stage, and others stepped forward after him. As he stepped down, he felt he had already demonstrated a small measure of his abilities. Those who witnessed his performance should have understood that he was capable of condensing energy.

The subtle energy that appeared was merely a trick, as energy can be controlled at will. Similar to a saint mage or wizard, who, upon reaching the highest level, can summon divine powers without chanting, simply by swinging a staff or hand.

This is because they can manipulate the energy or mana within their bodies.

"You're not bad at all, muscular man?" One of the burly men with a large sword smiled at Aji. This man had also passed with full power.

"Tch! You're already so arrogant!"

This time, Barsha's stern voice seemed to mock him as Aji stood back in the line of participants. However, Aji ignored him and instead glared at Barsha with a small smile.

"Why are you smiling like that?" Barsha refused to accept it.

Aji didn't even look at Barsha. Instead, he looked at the stage, where the swordsman stood after he had failed and been knocked flying after trying to attack the steel box with all his might.

"I knew your grandfather; he was a great Assassin. His name was Ganada, wasn't it?"

Barsha was slightly surprised to hear Aji mention his grandfather's name. "Hmm... of course you know him. Who in this world doesn't know my grandfather, the Legend with the highest paralyzing speed? Even lightning can be chased by his speed."

Barsha boasted through his grandfather.

Aji smiled again, "We'll see if you can be on par with your grandfather Ganada, or are you just boasting?"

"You!" Barsha looked annoyed, but Aji didn't care. "Okay, we'll see!"

Aji ignored him and watched the warrior conducting the next test. He glanced up at the sky for a moment and remembered his comrade, Ganada. If he knew his grandson looked like him, he would surely smile proudly there. Hah! ...grandfather and grandson, alike. However, Aji missed his two comrades.

He missed fighting alongside them.
